Bath, apart from the historic Roman baths, is a very cool city in it's own right. It's very hilly and seems even more so when walking more than a mile with luggage. (Thank goodness most of it rolls!)

My second home.

Bath has an incredible system of lochs throughout the entire city. Each one of these has to be manually opened. You can't see the boys opening this one, but you can see the water starting
to spill in. Check out the plants growing on the gate - almost like terraced plantings!
Narrow cobblestone streets are the norm. Charming.
The Bath Abbey, begun in 1499. Last addition I could find was in 1871.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is my two minute tour of Bath!

Love the two-minute Bath tour. Actually, I knew nothing of Bath, so now I know a little. I'll have to come back to your blog when I have a bit more time. All those photos....which I love.
Congrats on your 2nd book deal!!
Sorry to see you leaving 2K8 though.
2nd book deal, I ask???
Ah, I've been 'outed'.
(And for a while there, Carey,
I just thought you were clairvoyant;)
Yes, just a few days ago, I accepted, through my (ahem) agent,
an offer on another book. She negotiated a ridiculously nice deal (in my humble opinion) and I am now looking forward to seeing two of my books in print in 2009!
This one is a historical fiction, set in WWII, in the form of a young girl's scrapbook. It chronicles her life (and that of her friend's in a Japanese Internment camp) through pictures, sketches, candy wrappers, letters, etc.
Needless to say, I am very excited!
What do you mean "thought" I was clairvoyant? Oh, don't tell me. I KNOW what you meant. I know everything you are thinking...for shame, Beverly (case #6925557[see email])
